Microsoft Excel is a great skill to add value to your career
In the crowded job market stand out from the crown is not easy. Even if you aren’t looking for a new job, you would probably appreciate to be promoted. The skill that is more likely to increase 4 times your salary is to master Microsoft Excel, according to a study conducted by the BPM Partners.
The report found out that 81% of businesses globally use Excel! A survey of several hundred knowledge workers suggests that we usually spend more than 10% of our working lives on spreadsheets. For those working in research and development or finance, it’s more like 30% or 2.5 hours a day, that's almost as much time as we spend exercising, for example.
Even if you don’t work in the finance or research sector, Excel can be useful and a great time saver and have a great impact on productivity. When you master shortcuts, for example, you can save a massive amount of time to complete daily tasks.
Microsoft Office skills are required in almost all job opportunity’s requirements, doesn’t matter if it is to work in the HR sector, marketing or IT. Ability with Excel are even more valuable in a market that every single advantage count. Despite the evolution and the new features, which are more intuitive, Excel still an App that if you have advanced knowledge you can extract the best result and perform better.
Why not become Microsoft Excel certified?
You can even invest in an official certification to show how you elevated your Excel expertise. On average, Microsoft certified professionals earn 15% more than their uncertified peers. In a study group of 20 IT professionals who were provided with exam vouchers, 18 passed the exam. Five of the 18 have been recognised as leaders in their respective technical areas, and most have received a job promotion or are working on more interesting projects. The study was conducted by the Windows IT Pro.

The second level is to achieve the expert badge, this step covers Word and Excel, with one more course and exam in each of them, to get the expert title. The image below shows the path that you should follow.
MICROSOFT OFFICE SPECIALIST – MASTER
To earn the Microsoft Office 2016 Master certification, you must pass three exams, and then pass one elective exams.
